Bombolulu Workshops and Cultural Centre
Based in Mombasa, Kenya since 1969, we provide an income through work for our 160 differently abled artisans and 20 support staff mainly through our four product workshops:
- Tailoring and leather
- Mobility aids
When tourists are able to visit they can lunch, dance and shop at our Cultural centre and Gift shop.
The children of our producers also have an on site nursery school.
The Covid-19 crisis means there's no work
The Covid-19 crisis has hit our producers hard.
Normally they're proud to earn their own living but with their international partners' shops closed, most countries being in lockdown, and tourism to Kenya at zero, income has plummeted.
So just for the interim we need your help to put food on the table so we can survive this crisis and get back to work as soon as we can.
How you can help
£3.40 or $4.20 will feed a family for a day.
So, donating just £10 will mean you've fed a family for three days and in the UK that's the price of a cinema ticket or a couple of pints of beer. Donating, however little you can afford, will be a lifesaver.
Thank you so much and please tell your friends. Bombolulu really need a lifeline at the moment.
